Once a upon a time,there was this very beautiful girl.her name was Mary Catherine.But everyone who really knew her it was just plain old Mary to them.mary had everything a ten year old could want or need.Ecept happiness.her mother's love for her,ran very shallow.Not to mention her stepfather Judas,who often made Mary's life very uncomfortable.Although her mother Carman said that she loved Mary very much,she didn't do anything,or say anything to her husband,because she had that funny kind of love for him to.Even though Judas was a hard worker,and he brought home the bacon,but he was a awful father when it came to Mary.As a matter of fact he beat mary breakfast,dinner,and supper.Today was a day not so different from other days.The abuse from her step- father had gotten very bad,and Mary was so afraid.She didn't tell anybody.So one day after one of her terrible beatings,she cried until she had fallen asleep.Only to be waken at midnight by three beautiful girls.When Mary saw those three beautiful girls,she knew right away that they must be angels.Not because of the wings,that were visual,because of the calmness in her spirit,That can only be felt by the individual,and never ever seen.Then Mary asked them their names.The first to speak was Faith who had lots of faith and it expanded everywhere she went.Then there was Hope.Hope had hope in every situation.Hope always hope for the best when everyone else had just given up. Then there was Charity.Now Charity put her heart in everything she gave, she put everything,into what she believed,and and in any unloved situation Charity was there with love and kindness. she never failed.Those are some beautiful names said mary.What are you doing here?Asked Mary.well we are here on a mission.And our mission Mary is to make things better for you.Nobody! Can do that replied Mary.Never say never my sweet girl.Shhhh...said Charity,you need rest now.Close your eyes my dear.Mary then closed her eyes,while the angels Faith,Hope,and Charity sanged a song.Entitled Old Mary Don't you weep.It had been whispered in the angels ears thay Mary was being treated very badly,by her step-father Mr.Judas.On the ouside he looked to be such a sweet man.He went to Sunday School and Church every Suday rain or shine.He use to get up and teach Sunday. People wondered how could he do it with Mary sitting there all beaten and scard almost beyond reconition.People now days seems to look the other way when their friend are someone they knew would do unlawful things. They said Mr.Judas was a very faithful tither,but on the other hand treated his step- daughter like a dog. Mr.Judas fooled everybody that personal knew him.The mother ?she just pitiful.Mr Judas had her so scared she was shaking like a leaf on a tree.Carman was very healthy women.Then her husband Judas cut back on the grocery.Where as Carman use to weigh 116 pounds,she now weigh 92 and husband continued to tell her she to fat,and she need to lose more weight.Carman could't do anything for Mary.Carman needed help to with something.Carman had that funny kind of love for her daughter,and that was when Carman could prfit from it.The only way she did that was to look the other way while her husband beat her daughter unmerciful.sometimes things would be so bad until Mary would cry herself to sleep.This happen time and time again.After Mary fell asleep,Faith,Hope and Charity,had started to look for a comfortable place to sleep.As Charity started to look around for a place to sleep,Charity noticed out of the corner of her eye,a very beautiful silver hatboxthat rested on a mantle,not far from where the angels were standing.When the other two angels,Faith and Hope saw the beautiful hatbox on the mantle,they thought it was a fine place to lodge. A fine place indeed.Since all of them were in areement, that the hatbox was the best place for them to spend the night,Faith,Hope,and Charity they climb in and put the lid on.There they were all snuggle and comfy. Three Angels In A HatBox.When Mary had awaken,it seems as though she had just laid down.Now that Mary felt well enough to go back to school . But when Mary looked in the mirror and saw all the knucks and bumps and bruises,she knew she wouldn't be able to attend.after two weeks had passed and Mary was ready for school.When Mary got to school,she noticed a big change in the school staff.Mary even had three new substitute teachers.The principal had been replaced by a man calling himself mr. Johnny Dupree.Mary didn't know what to make of all these new changes.but it did seem very strange that the principal and the assistant principal would be absent on the same day.when Mary got to her home room,she was more surprise to know,that her regular teacher Alice Wells,had been replaced by some woman name Miss. Emma Luck.About time she had almost gotten use to Miss Emma Luck the bell rang.Mary's next class would be Physical Ed.When Mary reached Phisical Ed she soon found out that her Physical Ed teacher Mrs.Williams had been replaced by the name of Miss.Ruby Smith.It had been two weeks since Mary had been to school,the acting Principal Mr.Johnny Dupree summoned Mary Coleman to his office.The first question that Mr.Dupree asked Mary is why hadn't she been to school in two weeks.Mary replied by saying she wasn't feeling well.He then noticed a large cut over mary's eye,which left him kinda puzzled. Mr.Dupree knew right away from looking talking to Mary that she wasn't at all well.Mr.Dupree insisted that Mary continued on to her next class which was phisical Ed.Miss. Ruby Smith.When Maru reached her class she handed miss Smith her excuse.Miss Smith also had noticed that Mary hadn't taken this class in two or three months.So Miss. Smith said to Mary since you have all these excuses I do think you should see the school nurse.If this is not the pitts I don't know what is. said Mary. So down to the school nurse they went.When they arrived at the school Mrs.McDonald was waiting for them.Right away the school nurse started to examine Mary,she couldn't believe what she saw.The nurse knew right away that this was a job for the police.When the school nurse called they were there in the twinkle of an eye.The police suggested Mary be taken to the hospital.As soon as the emergency staff looked at Mary they knew that this was a case of child abuse,one of the worst kind.The police then rushed out to mary's house and brought her mother and step-father Mr.Judas in for questions.Everyone were so surprise to see the Deacon of their church riding in the a police squad car,especially in the back.Everybody thought Mr.Judas was such a nice guy,but now the truth was about to be known.After a long line of questions Mr.Judas was found guility of the beatings.And the mother was charged for not doing anything.After the two of them were arrested Mary was taken to a foster home and placed in there care they were so glad to have Mary with them.One day when Mary was walking around th foster home property picking flowers. There were a man and his wife they saw Mary and they fell inlove with Mary.But with all Mary's trouble's and badluckMary decided to remain at the orphrange awhile longer just to catch her breath sort of speak.One Summer day Mary decided to visit her old school.she really wanted to thank the substitute staff for being so good an understanding their needs.But when mary got to the school the strangest thing happen nobody every saw them are remembered them.That's because they were angels also.They didn't draw attention because they hadn't earned their wings yet.Their purpose on earth were to rescue Mary,which they sucessfully did.And now they had earned their wings,and oh! what joy.If you are someone you know are being abused.Please don't hesitate to tell someone.You see my darlings there might not be Three Angels In A HatBox waiting around the corner to rescue you.You see my children Three Angels In A HatBox is just a myth indeed.And we are in the real world so don't be scared get busy and get help tell the police tell your teacher I beleive you will get some help.Take it from somebody who knows.The End
