Tomorrow is a lie

Tomorrow is a lie

Corneille was right; we spend so much time making plans for tomorrow that we forget to live today. Every time we procrastinate, we take a gamble on life. As if we had all control, as if we were certain of tomorrow. But tomorrow misleads us. It recalls us unceasingly that it will never die, so that we forget that we are nothing but poor mortals in deferment on earth. Life is short. There is no time. There will never be enough. Tomorrow is a lie. Waiting is a waste of time, and wasting your time, is to be had. Whatever you need to do, just do it now; not later, not when you get a chance, but ASAP, better yet, NOW. There are better things to do than to regret. Whatever you don’t know, hurry up and find out. Prevent it from hindering your progress. Through ignorance, we let ourselves be scared onto stillness. The only thing stopping us is ourselves. Be hungry to devour, be ready to enjoy, you deserve it all. The canvas is yours to paint all you want. Never mind that you won’t get a redo, or that you might not finish. Savor each stroke and color, even the stray and off-tone ones. Be the artist, be the master. There is no place to find you. Only limitless space for you to create yourself.
