Why do you like writing?
C.L. Nelson: I enjoy a good story and I have some to tell.

When did you start writing and why?
C.L. Nelson: A very long time ago. I had stopped for a while, then picked it back up a few years ago. I had these ideas for good stories and I wanted to tell them.

How long have you been writing?
C.L. Nelson: I've lost track of the years. Ever since I was a kid.

What is the best book you have ever read?
C.L. Nelson: I, Robot by Isaac Asimov

Who is your favorite author?
C.L. Nelson: I have several: Isaac Asimov, Tom Clancy, Robert A. Heinlien, and Charles Dickens

What is the best story you have ever written?
C.L. Nelson: To date, "You" but I'm not done writing and I dont think I've written my best work yet.

What is some advice you would give new writers?
C.L. Nelson: Do this because you want to. Many in the publishing world will have you chancge things to better "sell" when in fact, it is to put their own stamp on something you have created. These people were not successful enough to produce anything of any value, so they will tell others how to write. They are the gatekeepers you have to avaoid in order for your creation to be fully appreciated.
