Behind These Eyes

Hanging by my fingernails on shards of broken glass
Everytime I've buried you, you come back from my past
People who don't know me try to look through my eyes.
I'm my own mystery, check out my disquise.

Lying once again to everyone of you
Please help me my friends say dreams do come true.
Yesterday was a day dream that I thought would last
Tommorow is a nightmare that's coming way to fast.

I live in misconception each breath could be my last
I could have had happiness, but then that never lasts
Do you still think you want to see
What's behind my eyes?
Do you still think you want to see
What's behind my eyes?

My eyes can't see anything when images aren't pure
The life that I am bearing I just cannot endure.
Often I see water a hope upon the shore
Fears that I treasure come to even up the score.

Daylights for believers, nightimes for lies
Pain once again delivers nothing through my eyes
I sit alone behind locked doors staring at myself
The voices that I ignore are the one's that help.

I live in misconception each breath could be my last
I could have had happiness but then that never lasts
I stand inside my shadows
I live a life of fear
Each day is like the last to me
Today's another tear.

Do you still want to see what's behind my eyes?
Do you still want to see what's behind my eyes?
Do you still want to see what's behind my eyes?
Do you still want to see what's behind my eyes?
