Alone In the Dark

I close my eyes from haunting memories,
memories I just can't escape.
Pray they'd fade with time,
and let me be in peace.

I hide in the corner of my mind,
false sense of safety a total lie.
Abandonment is reality of my life,
full of anger that will never leave.

I sit alone in the darkness.
All I see is your face.
And all I hear is your voice.
Full of hate for me, that is you.
