Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: Writing allows ideas to be expressed imaginatively so as to engage the minds of readers as they seldom can be in conversation.
When did you start writing and why?
Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: I started writing serious columns and articles for trade magazines about 1980 in order to develop the craft and eventually become a book author.
How long have you been writing?
Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: Perhaps longer than that. In fact, my first short story was when I was thirteen, and my first newspaper column was for the Calgary Albertan abvout 1963.

Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: The Apostle Paul; after that C.S. Lewis
What is the best story you have ever written?
Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: "The Peace" so far, though I hope the series will only get better.

Richard J. (Rick) Sutcliffe: Be a New Renaissance man or woman. Read widely in philosophy, history, technology, and fiction, especially science fiction and historical fiction. Get as much formal education as you can afford. Travel. Never stop learning. Know God and serve him with eve
