Why do you like writing?
Huck Finn: I love words, and I love music. And the two go together so well. If you have something you wanna say, you can say it better by writing it-passion, honesty, shrewdness; all elements to good honest poetry.
When did you start writing and why?
Huck Finn: When I started getting into music, I wanted to start a band and that meant lyrics-probably around 8th grade I really found out that poetry has no rules and I can use it to say whatever I want in so many different ways. I love it.
How long have you been writing?
Huck Finn: About 6 or 7 years I've really been into writing, but I've been writing stuff since I learned how.
What is the best book you have ever read?
Huck Finn: Best book? No one can say that! But I love Jurrasic Park and the Lost World, The Phantom Tollbooth, and The Great Gatsby.
Who is your favorite author?
Huck Finn: Michael Crichton, Jesse Lacey, Emily Dickinson, Edgar Allen Poe.
What is the best story you have ever written?
Huck Finn: I write my story everyday with every action I take and every word I say.
What is some advice you would give new writers?
Huck Finn: Don't be afraid to write whatever you want-don't hold back, and you can finish the technical stuff later. Write what you know, and make it specific and personal.
