Interview

Why do you like writing?
William J. Marsh: So others can share in my experiences and adventures and to share information and stimulate thought.

When did you start writing and why?
William J. Marsh: I started writing full time around 1995. I have had a wide range of worldly experiences, everything from working in the movie business with most of today's top stars to serving in the Army. Writing is a way to share those experiences with those who may not have the same opportunities.

How long have you been writing?
William J. Marsh: I have been writing part time around 15 years, full time around 5 or so years.

What is the best book you have ever read?
William J. Marsh: Not an easy question to answer, I will have to put it this way; Great Expectations is the first book to fascinate me with words, everyone should read it at least once.

Who is your favorite author?
William J. Marsh: Mark Twain

What is the best story you have ever written?
William J. Marsh: hmmm.......Blood Canyon - or - Murder Conspiricy 1869 - or - The Sackers John Brown and the Great Sand Dunes

What is some advice you would give new writers?
William J. Marsh: Seek and create opportunity, write for free if that is what it takes to get it in print! I wrote for a Los Angeles newspaper for free for a year (while working another job for pay) but they gave me my own column and it put me on the map, so to speak.
