Wendy Jo Taylor: I like writing because it's fun, even when it's difficult.

Wendy Jo Taylor: I've been writing since I knew how to put words together and make sense.

How long have you been writing?
Wendy Jo Taylor: Seriously writing since I was a teenager.

What is the best book you have ever read?
Wendy Jo Taylor: I have to pick just one? There are so many. I'd have to choose "To Kill a Mockingbird" because it was so well written and entrancing.

Who is your favorite author?
Wendy Jo Taylor: Again with just one? I love Stephen King, Laurell K. Hamilton, Mark Twain, David Sedaris, MaryJanice Davidson, so many others. All for the same reason: they're wonderful writers.

What is the best story you have ever written?
Wendy Jo Taylor: I think the best story I've ever written is my creative thesis "How To Grow Your Own Man".

What is some advice you would give new writers?
Wendy Jo Taylor: Do it every day. I don't care if it's just the grocery list. Write something every day. Read something every day. Most of all, experiment. You may not be a poet, but playing with poetry will only increase your skill in your chosen genre.
