Why do you like writing?
Lucy Newman: I didn't at first, I had always wanted to be in commercial art and advertising. But after working at a local newspaper since 1993 I had grown to love writing and began writing short stories as a hobby.

When did you start writing and why?
Lucy Newman: When I took a job as a typesetter for a local newspaper, the editor needed a columnist and I began writing humorous commentaries. As I wrote them, I found my niche' in life.

Lucy Newman: Although it may seem silly or incomplete at first. Keep writing. Somewhere in the world someone will read your work and totally love it.
